The Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) basketball felled the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 41-30 in Saturday's league test.
The Pirates (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats go into the A D2 Region 1B test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, Early County thwarted Mitchell County (Camilla, GA), 59-54, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Randolph-Clay for a A D2 Region 1A test on Tuesday, January 31. Quitman County will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 42-38 league win over Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 16-6.
