Nettleton Raiders (Jonesboro, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR), 39-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nettleton upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to play the Golden Eagles in a 5A East bout on Friday, February 3. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 17-7. Greene County Tech lost 40-29 in their recent league bout against Paragould (Paragould, AR)

Next up, the Lions play the Paragould Rams (Paragould, AR) in a 5A East bout, on Friday, February 3. Searcy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 40-29 league win over Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR).
