The Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) basketball crushed the host Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), 54-28 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Warhawks (19-3) will now prepare for their test against Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Blue Devils go into the AAAAAA Region 1 test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Tift County walloped Sumter County (Americus, GA), 70-24, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to West Laurens for a AAAA Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 31. Perry will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 45-30 non-league win over East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 11-10.
