Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tri County Northeast Wolfpack (Emerson, NE), 37-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Winnebago upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Indians host Wakefield (Wakefield, NE) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Wakefield won 57-54 in their recent non-league bout against Homer (Homer, NE)

Next up, the Wolfpack play the Wausa Vikings (Wausa, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Tri County Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 55-39 non-league loss to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE).
