Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) and the host Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME), saw Valley's basketball squad wallop Vinalhaven by a count of 73-9.

With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME) to play the Breakers in a D South challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Breakers come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Pine Tree Academy won 45-26 in their recent league challenge against Islesboro Central (Islesboro, ME)

Next up, the Vikings play the Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) in a D South challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Vinalhaven will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
