New Mexico High School Basketball - East Mountain topped by Cottonwood Classical Prep

The Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting East Mountain Timberwolves to 41 in the Coyotes non-league victory on Saturday.
The Coyotes now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Menaul for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. Cottonwood Classical Prep will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-43 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 10-6.
The Timberwolves (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cuba (Cuba, NM). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Cuba prevailed over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 63-25, in a non-league contest.
