The Farmington Scorpions basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting La Cueva Bears to 60 in the Scorpions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Scorpions now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piedra Vista for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30.

The Bears (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Eldorado nudged West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM), 58-54, in a non-league contest.
