The Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), 52-44 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Mora (Mora, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes go into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Mora went down by Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM), 33-30, in a non-league test.
The Wolverines now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Pecos for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Texico will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 78-43 non-league win over Raton (Raton, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 10-3.
