Georgia High School Basketball - Westside thwarts Academy of Richmond County

January 28, 2025: Augusta, GA 30904

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA) and the host Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA), observed Westside's basketball team knock off Academy of Richmond County by a score of 73-62.

The Patriots (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA). The Braves come into the AAA Region 4 challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Baldwin prevailed over Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA), 57-33, in a league challenge.

Next, the Musketeers clash with the Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) in a AAA Region 4 outing, on Friday, January 31. Academy of Richmond County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Huskies come into the outing with a 6-12 record after their 69-35 league loss to Cross Creek (Augusta, GA).
