The Aztec Tigers basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Shiprock Chieftains to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now possess a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a 4A District 1 game on Friday, January 31. Aztec will confront a Broncos team coming off a 67-36 league loss to Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Shiprock falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Gallup (Gallup, NM) to confront the Bengals in a 4A District 1 game on Friday, January 31. The Bengals go into the game with a record of 9-10. Gallup lost 50-48 in their recent league game against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM)
