The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball toppled the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 93-76 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Gryphons now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont bout on Wednesday, January 29. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will play a Golden Lions team coming off a 90-64 league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Bessemer City falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont bout on Friday, January 31. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 1-18. Cherryville lost 65-63 in their recent league bout against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)
