California High School Basketball - Big Valley Christian can't hold off Summerville

Summerville Bears (Tuolumne, CA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Big Valley Christian Lions (Modesto, CA), 58-56 in a league match.

With the victory, Summerville advances its record to 7-12 on the year. The Bears travel to Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA) to face the Bullfrogs in a Mother Lode League match on Friday, January 31. The Bullfrogs enter the match with a record of 17-5. Bret Harte won 66-54 in their recent league match against Riverbank (Riverbank, CA)

The Lions now own a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Linden for a Mother Lode League match on Friday, January 31. Big Valley Christian will face a Lions squad coming off a 59-33 league loss to Calaveras (San Andreas, CA). The Lions record now stands at 10-6.
