The Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY) basketball edged the visiting Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), 66-62 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Defenders now possess a 18-3 record. They play next when they host Frederick Douglass for a District 42 bout on Friday, January 31. Bryan Station will play a Broncos team coming off a 91-35 non-league win over Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Broncos record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Sayre falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Scott County (Georgetown, KY) to play the Cardinals in a District 42 bout on Friday, January 31. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 5-11.
