Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Horse Creek Academy Stallions (Aiken, SC), 60-53 in a league match.

With the victory, Calhoun County upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Saints travel to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC) to face the Trojans in a A Region 3 match on Friday, January 31. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 11-6. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler won 88-56 in their recent league match against Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC)

The Stallions now sport a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Williston-Elko for a A Region 3 match on Friday, January 31. Horse Creek Academy will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 70-56 league win over Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-6.
