The Springfield Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Cedar Mountain Cougars to 53 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now have a 16-1 record. They play next when they host Lester Prairie for a A Section 2 game on Friday, January 31. Springfield will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 76-55 league win over New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Cedar Mountain falls to 14-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host B O L D (Olivia, MN) to confront the Warriors in a A Section 2 game on Thursday, January 30. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 10-6. B O L D won 72-41 in their recent non-league game against Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN)
