Georgia High School Basketball - Colquitt County can't hold off Tift County

Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Colquitt County Packers (Norman Park, GA), 48-46 in a league match.

With the victory, Tift County advances its record to 15-5 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA) to face the Wildcats in a AAAAAA Region 1 match on Friday, January 31. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 7-12. Richmond Hill lost 50-38 in their recent league match against Camden County (Kingsland, GA)

The Packers now own a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lowndes for a AAAAAA Region 1 match on Friday, January 31. Colquitt County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 61-45 league loss to Valdosta (Valdosta, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 12-8.
