The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN) and the host Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN), observed Unaka's basketball team overcome Cosby by a margin of 73-55.

The Rangers (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN). The Highlanders come into the 1A District 1 challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Cloudland dropped by Cosby (Cosby, TN), 69-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN) in a 1A District 2 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Cosby will attempt to better on its 10-13 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 79-45 non-league loss to Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN).
