North Carolina High School Basketball - Sun Valley falls to Cuthbertson

The Sun Valley Spartans basketball squad (Monroe, NC), was outscored 51-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC)

With the victory, Cuthbertson advances its record to 11-6 on the year. The Cavaliers host Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Mavericks in a 4A Southern Carolina battle on Friday, January 31. The Mavericks enter the battle with a record of 7-11. Marvin Ridge won 74-54 in their recent league battle against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)

The Spartans now own a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monroe for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 29. Sun Valley will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 49-48 league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 5-1.
