The Derby Panthers defeated the host Hutchinson Salthawks basketball squad by a final score of 69-54 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Junction City Bluejays (Junction City, KS) in a non-league outing, on Monday, February 3. Derby will attempt to upgrade on its 12-0 season record. The Bluejays come into the outing with a 9-3 record after their 59-56 league loss to Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS).

The Salthawks (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Maize South (Wichita, KS). The Mavericks come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I outing with a 6-6 record. In their last outing, Maize South overcame Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS), 53-44, in a league outing.
