In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Floyd Broncos basketball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Lake Arthur Panthers.
The Broncos (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Melrose (Melrose, NM). The Buffaloes come into the A District 4 contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Melrose edged Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM), 74-47, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) in a A District 4 contest, on Thursday, January 30. Lake Arthur will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Coyotes come into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 48-36 league win over Elida (Elida, NM).
