In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Gallatin Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 60-59 triumph over the Penney Hornets.

The Bulldogs (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO). The Huskers go into the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last match, Lafayette County got by South Harrison (Bethany, MO), 64-41, in a non-league match.

The Hornets now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maysville for a non-league match on Monday, February 3. Penney will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 67-44 non-league win over Stewartsville/Osborn (Stewartsville, MO). The Wolverines record now stands at 14-5.
