Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS), 49-44 in a league match.
With the victory, Long Beach upgrades its record to 6-19 on the year.
The Rebels now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greene County for a non-league match on Friday, January 31. George County will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-18 league win over Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-11.
