Texas High School Basketball - Liberty holds off Independence

January 28, 2025: Frisco, TX 75035

The Liberty Redhawks basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host Independence Knights to 50 in the Redhawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redhawks now possess a 19-10 record. They play next when they host Memorial for a 5A Region II District 11 game on Friday, January 31. Liberty will confront a Warriors team coming off a 68-60 league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 19-8.

With the loss, Independence falls to 14-15 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Frisco (Frisco, TX) to confront the Raccoons in a 5A Region II District 11 game on Friday, January 31. The Raccoons go into the game with a record of 7-20. Frisco lost 73-47 in their recent league game against Heritage (Frisco, TX)
