The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN) and the host West Greene Buffaloes (Mosheim, TN), observed Johnson County's basketball team edge West Greene by a score of 69-65.

The Longhorns (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN). The Black Knights come into the 2A District 1 challenge with a 6-15 record. In their last challenge, Chuckey-Doak edged Happy Valley (Elizabethton, TN), 62-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Buffaloes battle the South Greene Rebels (Greeneville, TN) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 31. West Greene will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 55-47 league win over Hampton (Hampton, TN).
