The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN) and the host Lakeville South Cougars (Lakeville, MN), observed Shakopee's basketball team edge Lakeville South by a margin of 77-70.

The Sabers (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN). The Lakers come into the AAAA Section 2 challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Prior Lake edged Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN), 76-73, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Eagan Wildcats (Eagan, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Lakeville South will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 73-56 league win over Eastview (Apple Valley, MN).
