In Tuesday's league test, the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC) basketball squad got by the visiting Wilson Hall Barons (Sumter, SC), by a score of 65-62.

Next, the Swampcats clash with the Pinewood Prep Panthers (Summerville, SC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 29. Laurence Manning Academy will attempt to improve on its 12-9 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 16-6 record after their 86-59 league win over Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC).

The Barons (15-8) will now prepare for their test against Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC). The Titans come into the SCISA 4A Region III test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Trinity Collegiate held off John Paul II (Ridgeland, SC), 54-49, in a league test.
