The Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting Leavenworth PIONEERS to 30 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 10-2 record. They play next when they host West for a United Kansas game on Friday, January 31. Shawnee Heights will confront a Chargers team coming off a 44-41 non-league loss to Highland Park (Topeka, KS). The Chargers record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Leavenworth falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Piper (Kansas City, KS) to confront the Pirates in a United Kansas game on Friday, January 31. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 9-2. Piper lost 81-75 in their recent non-league game against Derby (Derby, KS)
