The Liberty Mountaineers basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Philip Barbour Colts to 60 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mountaineers now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten game on Thursday, January 30. Liberty will confront a Polar Bears team coming off a 91-29 league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Philip Barbour falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Colts host Preston (Kingwood, WV) to confront the Knights in a Big Ten game on Thursday, January 30. The Knights go into the game with a record of 6-4. Preston lost 60-59 in their recent league game against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)
