The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH) and the host Maplewood Rockets (Cortland, OH), observed Mathews's basketball team overwhelm Maplewood by a margin of 50-27.

The Mustangs (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH). The Lakers come into the Northeastern challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Pymatuning Valley trounced Badger (Kinsman, OH), 69-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rockets battle the Harding Skippers (Fairport Harbor, OH) in a Northeastern challenge, on Friday, January 31. Maplewood will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Skippers come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 66-55 league win over Grand Valley (Orwell, OH).
