Georgia High School Basketball - Westover can't get by Monroe

The Westover Patriots basketball squad (Albany, GA), was nudged 59-56 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA)

With the victory, Monroe advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA) to meet the Bearcats in a AAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 31. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 7-12. Bainbridge lost 62-41 in their recent non-league battle against Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA)

The Patriots now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dougherty for a AAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 31. Westover will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 83-50 league win over Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-8.
