In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Oakland Oakers basketball team scored a big 66-36 triumph over the Myrtle Point Bobcats.
The Oakers (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Reedsport (Reedsport, OR). The go into the 2A Sunset contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Reedsport was trounced by Illinois Valley (Cave Junction, OR), 67-59, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Gold Beach Panthers (Gold Beach, OR) in a 2A Sunset contest, on Friday, January 31. Myrtle Point will attempt to better on its 3-17 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 38-36 league win over Bandon (Bandon, OR).
