The Vinton Lions basketball team scored 76 points and limited the visiting Pickering Red Devils to 41 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 17-13 record. They play next when they host Rosepine for a 2A District 4 game on Thursday, January 30. Vinton will play a Eagles team coming off a 80-52 league win over East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 21-3.

With the loss, Pickering falls to 11-14 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Negreet (Negreet, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Indians go into the game with a record of 20-8. Negreet lost 71-59 in their recent non-league game against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA)
