The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) and the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), observed Richmond's basketball team overcome Pinecrest by a margin of 66-54.

The Raiders (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Bucks come into the 3A/4A Sandhills challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Hoke County dropped by Lee County (Sanford, NC), 60-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge, on Friday, January 31. Pinecrest will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 73-37 league win over Scotland (Laurinburg, NC).
