In Tuesday's league contest, the host Westwood Lumberjacks basketball team scored a big 63-40 win over the Providence Lions.
The Lumberjacks (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Chester (Chester, CA). The Volcanoes come into the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Chester smashed Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA), 58-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars (Paradise, CA) in a Pioneer contest, on Thursday, January 30. Providence will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 17-5 record after their 50-43 non-league win over CORE Butte (Chico, CA).
