The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes (Schuylkill Haven, PA) and the visiting Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA), observed Schuylkill Haven's basketball team knock off Shenandoah Valley by a score of 49-29.

The Hurricanes (9-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA). The Red Raiders come into the Schuylkill County 2 challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional was knocked off by Williams Valley (Tower City, PA), 63-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Nativity BVM Green Wave (Pottsville, PA) in a Schuylkill County 2 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Shenandoah Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 74-42 league win over Williams Valley (Tower City, PA).
