Texas High School Basketball - Vela fells Sharyland

The Vela Sabercats basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Sharyland Rattlers to 45 in the Sabercats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabercats now have a 30-4 record. They play next when they host Rowe for a 5A Region IV District 31 game on Friday, January 31. Vela will confront a Warriors team coming off a 60-35 league win over Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, Sharyland falls to 5-18 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX) to confront the Wolverines in a 5A Region IV District 31 game on Friday, January 31. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 7-17. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial lost 63-44 in their recent league game against McAllen (McAllen, TX)
