The South Paulding Spartans basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Villa Rica Wildcats to 62 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Rome for a AAAAA Region 5 game on Friday, January 31. South Paulding will confront a Wolves team coming off a 89-61 league loss to New Manchester (Douglasville, GA). The Wolves record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Villa Rica falls to 7-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host New Manchester (Douglasville, GA) to confront the Jaguar in a AAAAA Region 5 game on Friday, January 31. The Jaguar go into the game with a record of 16-4. New Manchester won 89-61 in their recent league game against Rome (Rome, GA)
