Georgia High School Basketball - Tucker toppled by Southwest DeKalb

Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Tucker Tigers (Tucker, GA), 58-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Southwest DeKalb advances its record to 19-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA) to meet the Golden Lions in a AAAA Region 5 battle on Thursday, January 30. The Golden Lions enter the battle with a record of 14-5. St. Pius X Catholic lost 62-53 in their recent league battle against Marist (Atlanta, GA)

The Tigers now own a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lithonia for a AAAA Region 5 battle on Friday, January 31. Tucker will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 59-47 league loss to North Springs (Atlanta, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-15.
