The Amarillo Sandies basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Monterey Plainsmen to 51 in the Sandies non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Sandies now have a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lubbock-Cooper for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4.
With the loss, Monterey falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Plainsmen host Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 1-1.
