The Anton Bulldogs basketball team scored 33 points and limited the visiting Wellman-Union Wildcats to 28 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now have a 12-5 record. They play next when they host Cotton Center for a 1A Region I District 5 game on Friday, January 31. Anton will confront a Elks team coming off a 49-23 league loss to Meadow (Meadow, TX). The Elks record now stands at 5-19.
With the loss, Wellman-Union falls to 13-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Amherst (Amherst, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region I District 5 game on Friday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 0-19. Amherst lost 73-14 in their recent league game against Whitharral (Whitharral, TX)
