Next, the Pirates clash with the Kennard Tigers (Kennard, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 test, on Friday, January 31. Wells will attempt to improve on its 12-17 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 5-14 record after their 76-10 league loss to Martinsville (Martinsville, TX).

The Eagles (1-23) will now prepare for their test against Centerville (Groveton, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region IV District 27 test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, Centerville was routed by Zavalla (Zavalla, TX), 71-15, in a league test.
