The Aspen Skiers nipped the visiting Basalt Longhorns basketball squad by a final score of 27-26 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
Next, the Skiers face the Roaring Fork Rams (Carbondale, CO) in a 3A Western Slope outing, on Friday, January 31. Aspen will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Rams enter the outing with a 13-1 record after their 72-44 league win over Meeker (Meeker, CO).
The Longhorns (2-12) will now prepare for their outing against Rifle (Rifle, CO). The Bears enter the 4A Western Slope outing with a 1-14 record. In their last outing, Rifle was nipped by Grand Valley (Parachute, CO), 35-33, in a non-league outing.
