Next, the Braves encounter the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar test, on Friday, January 31. Montezuma will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Tigerhawks come into the test with a 5-13 record after their 56-28 league loss to Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA).

The Bears (5-11) will now prepare for their test against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 2-16 record. In their last test, East Marshall was routed by Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA), 66-18, in a league test.
