The New Bedford Whalers basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Barnstable Red Hawks to 27 in the Whalers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Whalers now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Falmouth for a non-league game on Monday, February 3.

With the loss, Barnstable falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Red hawks host Plymouth North (Plymouth, MA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-8. Plymouth North lost 40-17 in their recent league game against Hingham (Hingham, MA)
