The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA) and the visiting Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), observed Carmichaels's basketball team overcome Bentworth by a score of 45-28.

The Mighty Mikes (2-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA). The Bulldogs come into the WPIAL 2A 3 challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Bethlehem Center defeated Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA), 51-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the California Trojans (Coal Center, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Bentworth will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 68-48 non-league win over Charleroi (Charleroi, PA).
