The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) and the visiting Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN), observed Blackduck's basketball team overwhelm Lake of the Woods by a score of 66-34.

The Drakes (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN). The Mustangs come into the A Section 8 challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Kelliher/Northome was routed by Marshall (Duluth, MN), 81-74, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Pine River-Backus Tigers (Pine River, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Lake of the Woods will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 62-28 league win over Nevis (Nevis, MN).
