North Carolina High School Basketball - Brevard nudges R-S Central

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) and the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), observed Brevard's basketball team edge R-S Central by a score of 41-36.
The Blue Devils (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, East Henderson was tipped by West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 55-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hilltoppers encounter the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 challenge, on Friday, January 31. R-S Central will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 53-49 league win over Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
