In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Prince Edward County Eagles basketball team scored a big 49-28 win over the Buckingham Knights.
The Eagles (16-0) will now prepare for their contest against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars come into the James River contest with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Nottoway was routed by Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 46-44, in a league test.
The Knights (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders come into the non-league test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Appomattox County bounced Gretna (Gretna, VA), 61-58, in a league test.
