The Mustangs (15-11) will now prepare for their challenge against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Warriors come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 16-8 record. In their last challenge, East Poinsett County edged Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR), 49-18, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Rector will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 3-18 record after their 63-14 league loss to Riverside (Lake City, AR).
