The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Clover Garden School Grizzlies (Burlington, NC) and the host Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC), observed Clover Garden School's basketball team edge Southern Wake Academy by a score of 29-23.
The Grizzlies (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 7-13 record.
In their next game, the Lions encounter the River Mill Jaguars (Graham, NC) in a 1A Central Tar Heel challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Southern Wake Academy will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 40-21 league loss to Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC).
